The ‘Brandon Fellowship Alumni Show’ has opened at Neighborhood Cancer Connection in Greenville, featuring works by local artists Nick ‘Ninja Picasso’ Burns and Faith Hudgens. The exhibition was created in collaboration with the Greenville Center for Creative Arts.
Local Artistic Talent on Display
Both Burns and Hudgens participated in GCCA’s Brandon Fellowship, a 12-month program that was launched in 2015. The fellowship accepts only three artists annually and aims to foster artistic talent and professional success.
The exhibition features three pieces from Burn’s avian series, which explore hope through the symbolism of birds. It also includes Hudgens’ 81-inch-long painting ‘Peace of Mind,’ a tribute to her grandmother who had leukemia, and a message of comfort to those facing cancer, caregivers, and those in seasons of uncertainty.
