As the August 18 primary election approaches, Oil City News is introducing candidate questionnaires to help voters make informed decisions at the ballot box.
Meet Arthur Youngberg
Arthur Youngberg is running for Casper City Council Ward II. He believes the most crucial challenge for people of Casper is government spending on projects it was never meant to fund.
Youngberg stated, ‘The government needs to spend the money it receives from taxpayers as if it was their personal money.’ If elected, he plans to ‘get back to the basics of government responsibility’ and vote for smaller government, letting the private sector work.
Youngberg’s qualifications include spending several years at a coal mine in Wyoming and taking care of his father during the COVID-19 pandemic. He witnessed firsthand how the government was not working for the people and decided to run for office to try to change things.
