Woman Charged In Santa Monica Attempted Kidnapping Missing

Courtney Perrone, 41, was last seen near Exposition Park in Los Angeles on May 17. She was accused of attempting to kidnap an 8-year-old girl in Santa Monica in 2024.

Background of the Case

According to the Santa Monica Police Department, Perrone posed as a Russian police officer and tried to take the child. The child’s neighbor intervened, and Perrone was later arrested and charged.

Perrone’s white 2014 BMW was found abandoned and stripped near Highway 138 in Littlerock, California, shortly after her disappearance. The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking information about her whereabouts and is concerned about her safety.
