Indiana Fever Head Coach Stephanie White has spoken out against the racist hate and abuse directed at Phoenix Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas, calling it ‘absolutely unacceptable.’ White’s comments came before the team’s practice on Wednesday.

White believes that online trolls are using the league to push divisive agendas and that true WNBA or Fever fans do not behave in this manner. She emphasized the importance of protecting players, stating that ‘our league is about inclusiveness, competition, and elevating women and marginalized communities.’ White previously coached Thomas in Connecticut and expressed her concern for Thomas’s well-being.
