This July, two Cincinnati institutions are joining forces for a cause that truly saves lives. Hoxworth Blood Center and the Cincinnati Reds have launched a month-long blood drive campaign, inviting fans and community members to “step up to the plate” for patients in need.
The partnership brings together the spirit of America’s pastime and the critical mission of maintaining a healthy blood supply for patients across the region. Hoxworth Blood Center, which is part of the University of Cincinnati, is one of the nation’s oldest and most respected community blood centers, supplying blood products to hospitals throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.
By teaming up with the Reds, Hoxworth is tapping into the passion of Cincinnati’s baseball community to encourage more donors to roll up their sleeves during the summer months — a time when blood supplies can run low as regular donors travel or shift their routines around the holiday season.
The campaign is a feel-good reminder of how local organizations can work together to make a real difference. Whether you’re a lifelong Reds fan or simply want to help your neighbors, this is a chance to contribute to something bigger than the game. Donors interested in participating can reach out to Hoxworth Blood Center for details on upcoming drive dates and locations throughout July.
