Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana, has announced the addition of a new water coaster, Cannonball, set to open in May 2027. The $22 million ride will be part of the park’s Fourth of July section and will feature a 90-foot-tall, 1,000-foot-long track with a 75-foot drop and a top speed of 45 miles per hour.
Details of the New Coaster
Cannonball will be built by German coaster firm Mack Rides and will be the park’s seventh roller coaster. According to Leah Koch-Blumhardt, one of Holiday World’s owners, the ride is dedicated to every kid who had to work up the courage to climb the tall diving board at their community pool and is a tribute to every small town with a quirky annual tradition.
