Smokey is your KRDO Pet of the Week from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. He is a four-year-old gray Domestic Shorthair cat who came into HSPPR as an owner surrender.
About Smokey
Smokey is a handsome boy who will need plenty of time, patience, and understanding as he settles into his new home. He will do best starting out in a quiet sanctuary room where he can adjust at his own pace before exploring the rest of the house. Once he feels safe, Smokey enjoys chasing laser toys and showing off his playful side. At the end of the day, he loves curling up in bed with his favorite people for a cozy night’s sleep.
Chin scratches are one of Smokey’s favorite things, and they’re a great way to earn his trust. Smokey would do best in a home without large dogs and with children who understand and respect his space. With a little patience in the beginning, Smokey has all the potential to become a loyal companion who will happily trade laser chases for bedtime cuddles.
