Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa is hosting a four-part workshop series, ‘Talking It Through Thursdays,’ in partnership with PeaceLink, to provide residents with tools for conflict resolution and de-escalation.
Workshop Details
The series, moderated by Carlton L. Avery, founder of PeaceLink, will cover topics such as conflict prevention, communication skills, and strategies for building healthier neighborhood relationships. Sessions will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on July 9, July 16, August 13, and August 20 at the church, located at 128 39th Street East.
The goal of the workshop series is to help residents work through everyday disagreements before they require law enforcement involvement, ultimately fostering stronger, safer, and more connected neighborhoods.
Residents, church members, neighborhood leaders, civic organizations, and other community stakeholders are encouraged to attend and share the opportunity with others. For more information, contact PeaceLink at 334-322-8416 or [email protected].
