Several new laws will go into effect in Indiana on July 1, 2026. One notable law, House Enrolled Act 1177, aims to increase access to childcare by expanding the state’s employer childcare tax credit for businesses offering childcare options to employees.
Expanding Childcare Access
This law will help pay for costs such as operating or contracting with a childcare facility, employee training, and higher wages for staff. Another law, House Enrolled Act 1033, seeks to strengthen the structure and accountability of the Marion County Courts.
