Sheridan Speedway Hosts Summer Showdown

Sheridan Speedway hosted the annual Summer Showdown, with Brennon Weight from LaMoure, N.D., winning the 25-lap Wissota Midwest Modified Feature. The top six finishers qualified for the 40-lap Summer Showdown the following night, with the winner taking home $10,000.

Local drivers Griffen Switzenberg, Chad Switzenberg, and Justin Will finished 11th, 16th, and 22nd in Friday’s feature. In Saturday’s feature, Griffen finished 11th, followed by Chad in 12th and Will in 16th.

Sheridan’s Dean McCalla finished 12th in the 20-lap Wissota Mod Four Feature Friday and eighth in Saturday’s 20-lapper.
