A motorcycle accident has closed Route 4 in Norwalk, Connecticut, as police continue to investigate the incident. The accident occurred on Sunday afternoon at around 4 p.m. near River Road.
According to the Farmington Police Department, the motorcycle hit a slowing or stopped vehicle from behind. The two occupants in the vehicle were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The motorcycle driver, a 67-year-old male from New Britain, was found conscious and alert but sustained serious head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet and was transported to the hospital via Life Star.
The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad is continuing to investigate the crash. Route 4 will remain closed for several hours as part of the investigation.
