The Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office is seeking to shut down two Fort Worth motels after police responded to nearly 1,700 calls for service at the properties since January 2024. The motels, Super 7 Inn and Delux Inn, are located in the 4400 block of South Freeway in Fort Worth.
Crime Rates
The lawsuits accuse the motels of becoming hubs for criminal activity, including narcotics and weapons violations, aggravated assaults, robberies, criminal trespassing, and other offenses. The Super 7 Inn generated 755 calls for service from January 1, 2024, to May 11, 2026, resulting in 27 arrests involving 39 criminal offenses.
The Delux Inn generated 933 calls for service during the same period, with 47 arrests involving 71 criminal offenses. Other recurring crimes at the motels include prostitution, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and disorderly conduct.
Tarrant County District Attorney Phil Sorrells stated, “The level of crime coming out of these motels is unacceptable and out of control. They are a danger to the public and a drain on first responders in this county.”
Sorrells warned that his office could take similar action against other properties, saying, “These motels are notorious for being hubs of criminal activity. If the owners won’t fix the problem, we will fix it for them.”
