The Venezuelan community in Oklahoma City has come together to collect donations for earthquake relief efforts in their home country. Following devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, a local restaurant, Vene Burgers, is serving as a central hub for the effort, with volunteers gathering and preparing supplies for shipment.
Donation Efforts
Volunteers have been working to collect and package donations, with a focus on medical supplies, food, and baby supplies. The community has shown an outpouring of support, with seven other locations across the Oklahoma City metro area also accepting donations.
Donation coordinator Hector Osorio expressed his gratitude for the community’s support, saying, “We are very grateful for your support, because a lot of our native people are coming here and supporting us.” Donations can be dropped off at Vene Burgers or any of the other seven locations until 3 p.m. Sunday.
