A teenager is recovering after being injured during a shooting in Hartford early Saturday morning. Officers responded to the 200 block of Westland Street around 5:12 a.m. for a ShotSpotter notification. Once police arrived, they said they found evidence of gunfire and learned about a gunshot victim arriving to an area hospital for treatment.
The victim, identified as a 17-year-old male, was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound, according to police. He is listed in stable condition. The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the HPD Tip Line at (860) 722-TIPS.
