A man whose life has been deeply impacted by radical Islamic terrorism is speaking out against people he claims hold extreme beliefs who are winning Democratic Party elections at alarming rates. Don Arias, an Air Force veteran and former New York firefighter, witnessed the grave destruction of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. His brother, who worked on the 84th floor of the South Tower, died in the subsequent 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Concerns Over Democratic Nominees

Arias is concerned about Dr. Adam Hamawy, the Democratic nominee for Congress in New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District, who has ties to radical Islamic terrorism. Hamawy has been linked to infamous terrorist Omar Abdel-Rahman, also known as the ‘Blind Sheikh,’ and testified on behalf of the defense in the sheikh’s trial. Arias also criticized Aber Kawas, a socialist candidate who once suggested that the United States deserved 9/11, for her comments minimizing the terrorist attack.

Arias believes that voters are not doing their due diligence in researching candidates and that the education system is to blame for the rise of radical beliefs. He described socialism as a ‘luxury belief’ and its supporters as mostly young, wealthy, or upper-middle-class people who are ‘out of touch.’ Hamawy’s campaign did not return requests for comment, and Kawas declined to answer questions.
