A self-taught 12-year-old pianist, Malachi Carraway, performed at Mall St. Vincent in Shreveport, Louisiana, showcasing his talent developed in just one year of playing. Carraway, a contestant in the Caddo Rising Star competition, performed before a public audience for only the second time.
Surprise Gift
Just hours before the performance, Carraway received a surprise gift from Pendley Piano Gallery — his first acoustic piano. Until now, the aspiring pianist had been learning on a keyboard.
Audience members applauded Carraway’s performance, praising the young musician’s skill and dedication. According to Carraway’s mother, the young musician is scheduled to perform at Mall St. Vincent every Friday, giving the community regular opportunities to watch his talent continue to grow.
