A crash along the Sherman Minton Bridge is causing some delays for drivers on their morning commute. The crash happened just before 7 a.m. in the eastbound lanes on I-64 at the 0.2 mile marker.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash and both right lanes are blocked, according to TRIMARC. The left lane is still open, allowing some traffic to slowly funnel through.
It’s unclear if there were any injuries reported and how long it will take for officials to fully reopen the roadway. TRIMARC estimates the lanes will be closed for at least an hour as crews work to clear the scene.
