An Ohio man, Tycen Proper, 19, is accused of plotting a terrorist attack at the White House during the UFC Freedom 250 event on June 14. According to authorities, Proper spent $3,000 on armor, vests, a semi-automatic shotgun, and extra ammunition.
Investigation and Arrest
Proper was one of seven men accused of plotting the attack. The FBI first learned about the plot on June 10 and worked with local authorities to make the arrests. A report from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio revealed that Proper purchased a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun and ammunition on June 5.
Proper also bought an AR-15 5.56 caliber rifle on January 13. Authorities alleged that he stockpiled the two firearms, along with other supplies, including three plate carriers, a tactical bump helmet, and extensive medical trauma gear.
