The home of the Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium, has a new look for the World Cup match between Japan and Sweden. To address the issue of glare from sunlight streaming into the massive sliding glass panels on the west end, curtains were installed.
Glare Issue at AT&T Stadium
The glare from the west end of the stadium has been a problem during football games, including a Thanksgiving Day win over Kansas City. Cowboys receiver George Pickens mentioned that the sun was in his eyes during a play, and fellow receiver CeeDee Lamb also experienced issues with a pass he didn’t see.
Curtains have been used for some concerts and events at the stadium, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has rejected the idea of using them for Cowboys games. Jones has not attended any World Cup matches yet.
A fan, Jesse Nunez, visiting the stadium for the first time, thought the curtains were a good idea and suggested they should be used for football games as well.
