Cornelius Edrington Jr., known to his loved ones as ‘Corn,’ was a bright and ambitious 18-year-old who had just graduated from high school. His life was tragically cut short when he was shot and killed at Fairview Park in Cincinnati.
A Life of Promise
Edrington was a young entrepreneur who had started his own clothing brand, Urban Lifestyle, at the age of 16. He was passionate about fashion and making people smile. His family and friends remember him as a goofy and loving person who always tried to bring others together.
According to Cincinnati police, officers were breaking up a large gathering of juveniles near Fairview Park when they heard gunshots nearby. Edrington was found suffering from a gunshot wound and died at the scene. No arrests have been announced, and the family believes he was not the intended target.
A Community in Mourning
Edrington’s loved ones are still trying to come to terms with his death. His uncle, Perez Estrada, said, ‘I’m going to miss Corn so much, man. I love Corn. That was my baby.’ The family is hoping that someone will come forward with information about the shooting.
A memorial has been set up inside Fairview Park, where friends and family have left balloons, flowers, and handmade tributes. The family plans to continue Edrington’s clothing brand as a way to honor his legacy.
