Northern Kentucky leaders have unveiled a 200-page plan to connect nearly 1,000 miles of bike paths and trails across Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties.
Connecting the Trails
The plan involves marking existing bike lanes and trails with clear signage to help riders navigate the connectors, which span 31 miles through seven cities, with Covington at the center.
Jason Reser, executive director of the Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance, emphasized the groundbreaking nature of the initiative. “It’s one of the first in the country, really, at this scale, at this level of depth,” Reser said.
Karen Finan, president and CEO of OneNKY Alliance, said the plan is essentially the “bible of bike planning” for the area, which also includes a map of proposed pathways extending into all three Northern Kentucky counties.
