The North Carolina state legislature will celebrate the Carolina Hurricanes’ Stanley Cup win on Tuesday. A group from the team and the Stanley Cup will be present during brief sessions in the House and Senate.
The Hurricanes won their first Stanley Cup in 20 years, defeating the Vegas Golden Knights in six games. On Saturday, approximately 180,000 fans attended a grand parade and celebration in downtown Raleigh.
Head coach Rod Brind’Amour expressed his gratitude during the parade, saying, ‘It’s unbelievable… We’re in the fight, we don’t really realize the magnitude of what’s going on. I love it, this turn out is unbelievable.’
