A 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling at a high rate of speed on westbound Weld County Road 80 when it veered off the road, lost control, and rolled several times, ejecting all occupants.
The driver, a 20-year-old Wyoming resident, was airlifted to a local hospital with critical injuries. The fourth passenger, a 19-year-old Eaton, Colorado resident, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The three other passengers, Cash Rinker, 20; Jack Dirksen, 19; and Cooper Nider, 19, were pronounced dead at the scene. The Eaton School District and several local baseball teams have issued statements mourning the loss of the young men.
