ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Guild Cinema in Albuquerque will host the 21st Experiments in Cinema Film Festival, which opens on Thursday.
The multi-day event showcases experimental and art-house cinema from across the globe. Daily admission begins at $8.
The festival runs April 16–19. Organizers note that tickets must be purchased at the box office on site; there are no advance online sales.
Daily general admission is $10. Students and seniors pay $8 per day. A full festival pass is available for $40. Participating artists and festival sponsors receive complimentary entry.
Presented by Basement Films, the yearly festival brings international independent filmmakers to Albuquerque and seeks to encourage emerging local media practitioners.
Alongside film screenings, the program features live multimedia performances, interactive projects, talks, panel discussions, hands-on workshops and a selection of films created by New Mexico middle and high school students.
