2026 World Cup Kits: U.S. Team’s New Look Among Top Picks

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to be the largest in history, with 48 teams competing across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. As teams prepare for the tournament, their kits are drawing attention, with several standout designs emerging.

U.S. Team’s New Look

The U.S. men’s national team has made significant strides in their kit design for the 2026 World Cup. Players had a say in the design process, resulting in the ‘stripes’ home kit, which has been well-received. The away kit, featuring ‘stars,’ is also an improvement over previous designs, though it doesn’t stand out as much on the field.

International Kit Highlights

Croatia continues to innovate with its iconic checkerboard pattern, offering a strong home kit and a contrasting blue away kit. Brazil’s ‘canary yellow’ remains a classic, while their away kit, designed by Jordan Brand, introduces a new black-and-navy pattern inspired by Amazonian poison dart frogs.

Norway’s kits, particularly the all-black away kit with a Viking theme, are noteworthy, though their practicality in summer heat is uncertain. Spain opts for elegance with a vine-patterned away kit and a navy-accented home kit, drawing from historical Spanish manuscripts.

Uruguay’s futuristic away kit pays homage to its soccer history, while Japan’s kits reflect their rising soccer status, with a baseball jersey-inspired away kit featuring 12 stripes to honor players and supporters.

Argentina maintains its classic home kit while introducing a striking black away jersey with blue accents inspired by Fileteado Porteño folk art. Mexico, as a co-host, presents three kits, including a home kit with the Piedra del Sol and a clean white away kit.

France, the 2018 World Cup winner, tops the list with its stylish kits. The home kit features a zig-zag pattern, while the away kit, inspired by the Statue of Liberty, combines a minty base with copper accents, symbolizing the historic gift from France to the U.S.
