A shooting near a bar in West Haven, Connecticut, early Saturday morning resulted in two fatalities and one injury. Officers responded to the 600 block of Campbell Avenue around 1:30 a.m. after reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police found three individuals who had been shot. One person, who was shot in the arm and leg, was conscious and alert. Two other people, found across the street with apparent gunshot wounds, were later pronounced dead at the hospital. Their identities have not been released.
The incident is believed to be isolated and connected to activity at the bar. Campbell Avenue is currently closed as detectives process the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and police do not believe there is a threat to the public.
