Frisco’s entertainment hub, The Star, welcomes a new gathering spot for residents and visitors alike. The Imperial Room, a 600‑square‑foot cocktail lounge opened by PILF Restaurant Group on October 16, provides a quieter, more intimate alternative to the arena’s bustling restaurants.
Design and Atmosphere
The lounge features soft lighting, olive and navy accents, and cozy booths that seat roughly 25 guests. The design draws inspiration from the group’s research trips to New York City, resulting in a darker palette and a polished yet relaxed vibe that does not require formal attire.
Concept and Vision
“We’ve wanted to open a cocktail lounge for a long time, and The Imperial Room gave us the opportunity to do something completely different,” said Jay Jerrier, founder of PILF Restaurant Group. He emphasized the goal of creating a space that feels special without being stuffy, suitable for a quick drink before a Stars event, a casual meeting, or an evening destination.
Cocktail Program
Head bartender Gabe Sanchez, formerly of Dallas’ Black Swan Saloon and Midnight Rambler, leads the beverage program. His menu reimagines classic styles while introducing house‑crafted drinks. Highlights include:
- Calaboose Old Fashioned – a blend of Woodford Reserve rye and bourbon, gomme syrup, fiore di silicia, bitters, orange zest, and a nod to Frisco’s historic 1912 jail.
- Cotton Gin – The Botanist gin mixed with cotton honey and lemon for a soft, bright sweetness.
- Always Sunny in Frisco – Chopin vodka, mango‑ginger cordial, saline, orange bitters, sparkling water and basil, balancing tropical fruit with spice.
- Imperial Espresso Martini – Dripping Springs vodka, cold brew, Borghetti, and cold‑brew syrup, paired with a chocolate caramel tart.
Small‑Plate Menu
The food menu is designed for sharing. Guests can start with focaccia served with Parmesan and a whipped chili‑garlic butter, followed by a rotating meat and cheese board. The Cheesy Caesar offers little gem lettuce, classic Caesar dressing, focaccia croutons, and a generous snowfall of Parmesan. The standout dish, however, is the cacio e pepe: radiatore pasta cooked al dente, tossed in a peppery sauce, and finished with a mountain of pecorino.
Location and Accessibility
Located at 3685 The Star Blvd., Suite 200, The Imperial Room sits amid The Star’s restaurants, offices, and entertainment venues. Its limited seating creates an exclusive feel while remaining welcoming for families and groups seeking a quieter spot before or after larger crowds.
Community Impact
By adding a refined yet approachable lounge, PILF Restaurant Group diversifies Frisco’s dining scene and offers a new venue for local gatherings, business meetings, and casual evenings. The lounge’s emphasis on quality cocktails and shareable dishes aligns with the city’s growing reputation as a destination for upscale yet accessible dining experiences.
The Imperial Room is now open to the public, and the team invites Frisco residents to experience the space for themselves.
