Clark County high school football enters the decisive Week 10 round, and local fans are gearing up for a slate of exciting matchups. Ten teams across the county are still in contention, and four will host games at home fields. Winners move on to the state playoffs, where the best of Washington will vie for championships.
Class 4A – Skyview Leads the Pack
The Skyview Storm finished the regular season undefeated at 9-0, capping the run with a win over Union on Friday. The Evans Rankings, compiled by local analyst Matt Evans, place Skyview at No. 4 in Class 4A. The Storm will host No. 32 Bethel at Kiggins Bowl on Friday night, 7 p.m. If Skyview prevails, the committee expects the team to earn a home game in the first round of the state playoffs.
Behind Skyview, the Camas Papermakers (6-3) earned a spot as the No. 17 ranked team after losses to Skyview (twice) and No. 5 Chiawana. Camas will travel to face No. 16 Olympia.
Class 3A – Evergreen Looks to Bounce Back
Evergreen’s Plainsmen fell short of the Greater St. Helens League title, losing to Kelso and finishing second with a 6-3 overall record. The Evans Rankings list Evergreen at No. 27 in Class 3A. The Plainsmen will travel to meet No. 9 Meadowdale at Edmonds Woodway District Stadium, 7 p.m. Friday.
Class 2A – Four Teams Remain
Woodland Beavers (6-2) captured the North Division title and a league championship, the third in four seasons. Ranked No. 11, Woodland will host No. 19 Bainbridge.
Hockinson Hawks (5-4) claimed the South Division title, their first league crown since the 2019 season. The Evans Rankings place Hockinson at No. 34; the Hawks will travel to face No. 3 Archbishop Murphy.
Washougal Panthers (4-5) sit at No. 31 and will hit the road against No. 10 Franklin Pierce. Ridgefield Spudders (5-5) are No. 32 and will travel to meet No. 5 Prosser.
Class 1A – Tight Race in the Trico League
Seton Catholic Cougars, five‑time consecutive league champions, hold a 6-2 record and are ranked No. 11. They will host No. 13 Connell at 5 p.m. Friday.
La Center, also 6-2, is ranked No. 8 and will host No. 20 Cascade (Leavenworth) at 2 p.m. Saturday. Both teams must win their Week 10 games to keep hopes alive for a home game in the state bracket.
King’s Way Christian Knights (2-7) sit at No. 41 and will travel to face No. 1 Royal, the dominant program that has won the past six state championships.
Cross‑Country Championships
In addition to football, the state cross‑country championships will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco. All classifications will compete, with district titles already awarded: Camas boys (Class 4A), Prairie boys and girls (Class 3A), Ridgefield boys and girls (Class 2A), and Seton Catholic boys plus La Center girls (Class 1A).
What’s Next?
After Week 10, official seeding committees will convene to assign the final 12‑ or 16‑team brackets for each classification. The outcomes of these games will heavily influence home‑field advantages and matchups in the state playoffs, making every Friday night contest crucial for Clark County’s football hopefuls.
