Prattville residents are invited to a unique holiday gathering that swaps reindeer for a parachute. On Saturday, Nov. 14, the Willis Bradford YMCA will host the “Santa Drop,” a skydiving entrance by Santa Claus that promises excitement for the whole family.
Event Details
The Santa Drop runs from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the YMCA’s location on 972 McQueen Smith Road South. In addition to Santa’s high‑altitude arrival, the Grinch will make a special appearance, and the event will feature a series of giveaways and holiday‑themed activities designed to bring neighbors together.
Family‑Focused Fun
Action 8’s Estee Morrison discussed the lineup with local host Johnna Beilvaqua, emphasizing that the programming is intended to put “the whole family in a festive mood.” Activities include photo opportunities with Santa and the Grinch, craft stations for children, and a holiday music playlist to set a cheerful atmosphere.

Admission to the Santa Drop is free, but families are encouraged to register online for the giveaways at SantaDrop26.com. Registration helps organizers manage the flow of participants and ensures that each child receives a holiday‑themed gift.
