Plain, Wis. – Sauk Prairie Healthcare celebrated the opening of its new Plain Clinic on Monday, Oct. 5. The clinic occupies the renovated former River Valley School District Early Learning Center at 1370 Cherry Street, providing larger exam rooms and updated medical services for residents of Plain and surrounding areas.
Community‑focused expansion
The new location is part of Sauk Prairie Healthcare’s “Created Together, Growing Together” capital campaign, which aims to expand access to quality health care across the region. By moving from its previous address at 825 Main Street, the clinic can now accommodate a growing patient base and offer a more comfortable environment for families.
Local leaders share excitement
Monica Pilon, director of primary care services for Sauk Prairie Healthcare, said the new space fulfills a long‑standing goal for her team. “It’s been something that’s been in the conversations. Now to see it actually come to fruition is just very significant,” Pilon explained. “I live in the area – Spring Green – and it’s a great thing to see that we made it to this point.”
Amy Ryan, marketing and community relations director, noted that renovations began on April 26 and were completed in September. The project transformed the former early‑learning center into a modern clinic, adding larger examination rooms, updated medical equipment, and a welcoming waiting area.
Open house invites neighbors
To introduce the community to the new facility, Sauk Prairie Healthcare will host an open house on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents are encouraged to tour the clinic, meet staff, and learn about the services available, which include primary care, preventive health screenings, and chronic disease management.
Impact on local health care
The Plain Clinic expansion reflects a broader effort to strengthen health‑care access in rural Wisconsin. By situating the clinic within a familiar neighborhood location, Sauk Prairie Healthcare hopes to reduce travel barriers for patients and support the health of families throughout the Plain area.
For more information about the clinic’s services or the upcoming open house, residents can contact Sauk Prairie Healthcare directly or visit the organization’s website.
