If you already own a track bike — a fixed-gear bicycle with no brakes, which is what the velodrome requires — you can show up during open sessions and start lapping. If you are new to track cycling, the community here is notably welcoming. Ask questions. Even if you never clip into a pedal, the Velodrome is worth a visit simply as a piece of athletic infrastructure that most people in the region do not know exists.
