For the Collin County portion of the 3rd Congressional District, Democrat Evan Hunt garnered 134,580 votes (51.19%) while Republican incumbent Keith Self received 128,340 votes (48.81%). The district extends beyond Collin County, so these totals alone do not determine the overall winner.
At the county level, Republican incumbent Chris Hill retained the county judge position with 217,401 votes (50.22%) over Democrat John R. Buster Brown’s 215,538 votes (49.78%). Republican Stacey Kemp led the county clerk race with 215,913 votes, ahead of Democrat John Russell’s 205,598. Democrat Julie Holmer topped the Precinct 4 county commissioner race with 56,177 votes versus Republican Shelby Williams’ 49,198.
Collin County reported 460,900 ballots cast, representing approximately 57.91% voter turnout.
All results remain unofficial until canvassed. Final certification is expected in the coming weeks, after which newly elected officials will begin shaping policies that impact Plano residents daily.
