The Kenosha YMCA invites community leaders, donors, volunteers and members to its Annual Luncheon on Wednesday, November 4. The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the UW‑Parkside Ballroom and is presented by First American Bank.
Celebrating Service and Partnership
Each year the luncheon spotlights individuals and organizations that strengthen the Y’s mission of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This year’s award recipients include:
- The Nash Award for Employee of the Year – Alyssa Mazmanian‑Thompson
- The Nash Award for Business Partner of the Year – Eli Lilly and Company
- The Kueny Aquatics Award – Tyler Ernsting
- The Callahan Healthy Living Award – Bill Thomas
- The Wavro Youth Development Award – Jack Robinson, Andrew Whyte (Robotics and the Kenosha Robo Crew) and Nevaeh Marks (Elementary Achievers Program)
- Special recognitions for Sharon Campbell (30+ years of Y employment), Steve Donovan (long‑time service) and Tom Laken III (board chairman since 2023, now concluding his term as chair).
Launching the Annual Campaign
The luncheon formally launches the Y’s Annual Campaign, a fundraising drive that helps provide access to programs for children, adults and families across Kenosha County. Funds support fitness classes, skill‑building workshops and community‑support initiatives, ensuring that those who need financial assistance can still participate.
“At the Y, connections happen every day. A child finds a mentor, a member makes a friend, or a family finds the support they need,” said Cindy Altergott, CEO of the Kenosha YMCA. “Our donors, volunteers, staff, and community partners make those moments possible. This luncheon is an opportunity to celebrate them and the difference we can make together.”
How to Attend
Seats are limited. Registration is available online at kenoshaymca.org/special-events/annual-luncheon/ or by calling 262‑564‑6813. Past luncheons have sold out, so prospective attendees are encouraged to reserve promptly.
