FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The 11th annual Hobnobben Film Festival is back in downtown Fort Wayne, bringing a packed four‑day schedule of independent cinema, hands‑on workshops and community‑focused discussions to the Cinema Center.
Opening night celebrates Indiana filmmakers
Opening night begins Thursday at 5:30 p.m. with a reception in the Cinema Center lobby, followed by a short‑film showcase at 7:15 p.m. The evening culminates with the feature‑length documentary Sincerely, Ric at 9 p.m., a film that spotlights local talent and the power of personal storytelling.
Program highlights
The festival runs Thursday, Oct. 22, through Sunday, Oct. 25, presenting 154 films from nearly 40 countries across 34 screening blocks. Audiences can expect a mix of narrative features, documentaries and short films, with a special emphasis on works by Indiana creators.
In addition to screenings, three public workshops will be offered. Friday’s filmmaker networking event at 5 p.m. provides a chance for local and visiting creators to connect. Saturday’s schedule includes a hands‑on 16 mm filmmaking workshop from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., followed by a session on film budgeting and production planning from 4:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
