So you’ve heard there’s a craft brewery on Marks Street, and you’re wondering whether it’s worth the detour or just another tap room with mid beer and a cornhole set. Fair question. Here’s the honest answer: Remedy Brewing Company is the kind of place that surprises you precisely because it doesn’t try to.
The brewery sits on Marks Street in the older, quieter part of Henderson — not the shiny resort corridor, not the suburbs with the stucco sameness, but the scruffier stretch closer to downtown where the streets are wider than they need to be and the signage is a little faded. The building itself is industrial without being theatrical about it. Concrete floors, exposed ductwork, long communal tables. You get the idea. What matters is what’s in the glass.
Remedy rotates its taps regularly, but the core lineup tends to include a solid West Coast IPA, a hazy or two, and at least one lager that serious beer people can point to as proof that the brewers actually know what they’re doing. The lager is important. Any brewery can throw hops at a hazy and call it craft. Brewing a clean, balanced lager — the kind that doesn’t announce itself but earns a second pint — takes discipline. Remedy’s tends to earn the second pint.
Prices are honest. Pints run somewhere between seven and nine dollars depending on what you’re ordering, flights are available if you want to map the range, and there are usually a few limited or seasonal releases on the board worth asking about. The staff will actually talk to you about the beer without being insufferable about it, which is rarer than it should be.
The food situation is minimal — some snacks, maybe a rotating food truck outside on busier nights — so eat before you come or come with low expectations on that front. The trade-off is that the brewery hasn’t inflated its prices to cover a full kitchen, and that feels like a reasonable deal.
It runs busier on weekend evenings, when the crowd skews toward locals who live in the surrounding neighborhoods and treat it like a neighborhood bar with better beer. Wednesday and Thursday nights are quieter, easier to get a seat, and the conversations tend to last longer. If you’re visiting Henderson and want a sense of what the non-resort version of the city actually feels like, a Tuesday or Wednesday night at Remedy is probably more instructive than anything in a hotel lobby.
Parking is easy, which in any Southern Nevada context deserves its own mention. There’s no cover, no reservation required, no velvet rope logic. You walk in, find a seat, and order at the bar. The patio gets genuinely pleasant between October and April, when Henderson evenings cool off enough to justify sitting outside without engineering a strategy around the heat.
Is Remedy the most ambitious brewery in the region? No. But ambition isn’t always what you want. Sometimes you want a place that makes good beer, doesn’t oversell itself, and has figured out how to be exactly what it is. Remedy has figured that out. The Marks Street address will not make your Instagram grid look interesting. The beer might make you stay longer than you planned.
