The season opens with a home‑court showdown against the Atlanta Vibe on Jan. 8 at the Comerica Center.
Championship Momentum Carries Into 2027
Since debuting in Frisco, Dallas PULSE quickly earned a reputation for competitive play, highlighted by a historic road win in Atlanta, a playoff berth, and ultimately the league title. Head Coach Shannon Winzer returns for a second year, bolstered by two new assistant coaches, Jamille Torres and Robert Poole. The roster retains local talent such as North Texas native Kaylee Cox, opposite hitter Kelsie Payne, and middle blocker Layne Van Buskirk, while also adding international players and athletes with Olympic experience.
“Winning a championship is special, but defending it brings a new level of motivation,” Winzer said in a statement. “We have more depth and experience than we did last season.”
