Comal County residents who plan to cast a ballot on Election Day should note that polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on November 3. The Comal County Elections Office on Seguin Street will not serve as a polling place on that day.
State Representative Races on the Ballot
Two state House contests will appear for many voters. In District 73, Democratic challenger Merrie Fox faces Republican incumbent Carrie Isaac. Both candidates ran unopposed in their respective primaries.
In District 44, which includes Seguin, the east side of New Braunfels, and parts of Guadalupe and Gonzales counties, Democratic nominee Eric Norman will challenge Republican incumbent Alan Schoolcraft.
Comal ISD Bond Propositions
Comal Independent School District voters will decide on two bond measures. Proposition A proposes $539.955 million in bonds to fund the design, construction, renovation, expansion, acquisition, and equipment of school facilities, as well as the purchase of new school buses and vehicles.
Proposition B seeks $27.045 million in bonds to upgrade technology equipment, systems, and infrastructure, including new classroom computers and devices.
Statewide Races and Federal Contests
The ballot also includes the full slate of federal and statewide offices. Voters will choose among:
- U.S. Senate: Libertarian Ted Brown, Republican Ken Paxton, and Democrat James Talarico.
- All 38 U.S. House seats, reflecting the new congressional map adopted after last year’s redistricting.
- Governor: Republican incumbent Greg Abbott, Libertarian Pat Dixon, and Democrat Gina Hinojosa.
- Lieutenant Governor: Republican incumbent Dan Patrick, Democrat Vikki Goodwin, Libertarian Anthony Cristo, and Green Party candidate Kevin McCormick.
- Attorney General: Republican Mayes Middleton, Democrat Nathan Johnson, and Libertarian Tom Oxford.

- 15th Court of Appeals, 16 state Senate districts, all 150 state House districts, and eight State Board of Education seats.
Write‑in slots may appear for some races. Republicans currently hold every statewide office on the ballot, and no Democrat or third‑party candidate has won a statewide office in Texas since 1994.
