Clearwater, Fla. – Two civil complaints filed in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Pinellas County accuse Melanie Sky Daily Bollea, the widow of wrestling legend Terry Bollea (known as Hulk Hogan), and her son, Hayden Hitt, of providing alcohol to underage guests and facilitating an environment that led to a violent sexual assault during a party at their home.
Allegations in the complaints
The first complaint, filed on Oct. 29, is brought by a plaintiff identified only as Jane Doe. It alleges Bollea gave alcohol to a minor in an effort to “groom” her toward the Church of Scientology after learning the teen had lost a parent and was under guardianship.
The second complaint, filed by Jane A. Doe on behalf of a minor child, Jane B. Doe, describes an unsupervised gathering on March 28. According to the filing, Hitt sent a group‑chat message describing the victim as “Free P***y” and later guarded the door while another minor, John B. Doe, allegedly attacked and raped the victim after she became unconscious from drinking a Four Loko.
Details of the alleged assault
The complaint states the victim recovered one of three condoms from the scene for DNA testing, while Bollea allegedly discarded the remaining two condoms and removed blood‑stained sheets. The victim later underwent a forensic examination with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Text messages submitted with the complaint show Jane Doe contacting Bollea during the party to report being shoved into a clothes rack by Hitt. Bollea’s alleged response was, “If you’re throwing up, you should probably just go to bed. Lock the door. I’m sorry he’s acting out. Now is not the time to talk sense always wait till the morning.” When the victim called police, the filing says Bollea returned home from Tampa, tossed the victim’s belongings into the front yard, and warned, “she is too powerful to be messed with.” Hitt later sent a message saying, “because i beg like actually beg i’ll do anything please,” while asking the victim not to press charges.
Police investigation
On Oct. 31, 2026, the Clearwater Police Department posted on Facebook that an investigation began in March after allegations of sexual battery and supplying alcohol to minors at a residence on the 100 block of Devon Drive, Clearwater Beach. Detectives referred the case to the Pinellas‑Pasco State Attorney’s Office for possible prosecution. The department noted the case remains open and that media reports claiming it is closed are inaccurate.
Legal status
Both Bollea and Hitt have not filed formal responses to the lawsuits, and their representatives have not responded to outreach attempts. Each complaint seeks a trial by jury.
Context
The filings were obtained from Ken Burke, clerk of the circuit court in Pinellas County, and were submitted by attorney Daniel J. Rose, P.A., representing the plaintiffs. The allegations involve alleged misconduct at a private residence and do not reflect any official action by local government agencies.
