The Woodland Weavers & Spinners Guild presents “Boots on the Fence” – an art exhibit honoring women veterans. From November 8 through November 14, 2026, the exhibit will be open daily from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at 4809 Eastern Ave SE, Kentwood, MI 49508.
Through the Healing in Arts workshops, participating women veterans have turned their own military boots into painted, memorabilia‑filled pieces that reflect each service member’s unique journey of friendship, sacrifice, resilience and hope. The exhibit draws on the military tradition of tossing boots over a fence at the end of a deployment, turning that symbolic gesture into a public celebration of women who served.
