The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) unveiled a series of enhancements to its Blue Bus system on Saturday, Nov. 7, aimed at improving mobility for Taos residents and tourists. The changes include extending the MyBlue on‑demand shuttle hours to 7:30 p.m., relocating several stops, and adding new vehicles to high‑traffic routes.
Year‑round service for Route 341 TSV Green
Route 341, known as TSV Green, which serves the Arroyo Seco community and the Taos Ski Valley, will now operate 365 days a year. The district’s Oct. 27 press release notes that the route will also see schedule adjustments and a new stop on NM 150 directly in front of the Arroyo Seco Community Center. Like Route 340, TSV Green will no longer serve the Taos County Administration Building.
Route 340 Chile Line gains new stops and buses
Route 340, the Chile Line, will see several stop relocations. The former stop at the Taos County Administration Building is replaced by a new location at Paseo del Pueblo Sur and Albright Street. The Holy Cross Medical Center stop moves to Weimer Road, while the Taos Youth and Family Center stop shifts to Paseo del Cañón East. Additional stops are added at the Taos Pueblo Senior Center, and the stop at Camino de la Cruz and Loma Parda is removed permanently. To accommodate the expanded service, the district is adding two 35‑foot buses to the Chile Line.
Expanded routes for regional travelers
Route 305 Taos Express, which links Taos with Santa Fe, will now stop in Ranchos de Taos, at the Española Transit Center, and at the Cities of Gold park‑and‑ride lot in Pojoaque. The Ranchos stop is located on NM 68 near East Camino Abajo de la Loma.
Route 360 Tres Piedras will add Friday service, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Route 370 Carson will see earlier afternoon departures and new stops in Tres Orejas, at Rim Road, and on NM 567.
MyBlue on‑demand shuttle expands hours
The MyBlue Taos Zone on‑demand shuttle will now run from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with revised boundaries designed to “connect more of the community,” according to the release. The shuttle, along with Routes 305 and 340, will follow modified holiday schedules on Veterans Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Juneteenth, and Indigenous Peoples Day. Riders are advised to check the latest schedules, as fewer trips may be available on those dates.
Community impact
These service upgrades reflect NCRTD’s commitment to providing reliable, accessible transportation for families, seniors, and workers throughout Taos County. By extending hours, adding vehicles, and ensuring year‑round operation of a key ski‑valley route, the district aims to support local tourism, reduce traffic congestion, and give residents greater flexibility for work, school, and medical appointments.
For the latest schedules and stop locations, riders can visit the NCRTD website or contact the district’s customer service line.
