Casper residents have another chance to give back before the holidays. TownSquare Media Casper announced that the annual Birds n Bucks food drive will take place on Friday, November 20, 2026, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Walmart East, located at 1514 East 12th Street.
How the drive works
Volunteers from My Country 95.5, 104.7 KISS‑FM, K2 Radio, The Cowboy, Rock 96.7, 107.9 Jack FM, and Wake Up Wyoming will be on site, alongside representatives from Casper Housing Authority Cares and other community groups. The event is sponsored by the local FORD Store.
Donors are asked to bring turkey donations and, if they wish, monetary contributions to help cover additional food items that may be needed. The drive is designed to support families who are struggling to put a holiday meal on the table.
Distribution for families in need
After the collection day, the food will be distributed on Saturday, November 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lifesteps Campus, also located at 1514 East 12th Street. Families who need assistance are encouraged to register in advance so organizers can prepare the appropriate amount of food.
Registration can be completed by scanning the QR code provided in the original announcement or by visiting the online sign‑up form linked in the notice. Those unable to attend the collection day but still wishing to contribute can donate through the Casper Housing Authority Cares PayPal account, also accessible via QR code or direct link.
Why the drive matters
Birds n Bucks has become a trusted community tradition, pairing turkey donations with cash contributions to create a more flexible support system for families facing financial hardship. By gathering both types of donations, the program can address immediate meal needs while also covering other essential food items that may be lacking.
Local businesses and media outlets see the event as an opportunity to demonstrate the spirit of neighborly care that defines Casper. “We are proud to partner with our fellow media stations and community groups to help families enjoy a blessed Thanksgiving,” said a spokesperson for TownSquare Media Casper.
