America’s Compounded and Profound Time for Choosing in 2026

Sixty-two years ago, on 10.27.64, not-yet-President Ronald Reagan delivered a timeless and magnificent speech (read it HERE) as a campaign address for then presidential candidate Barry Goldwater. That speech launched Reagan’s political career and is called his “Time for Choosing” speech.
In that speech Reagan warned about:
socialism and communism on the march internationally and here at home
that the great risk lies in appeasement, meaning the dangerous puerile belief that if America just accommodates or avoids direct confrontation of those who mean us harm they will leave us alone and learn to love us
out of control spending and debt in Washington
ever-increasing government controlled society with laws and regulations spewing from Congress and the bloated bureaucracy
cultivation of dependency on government for the purpose of consolidating power and defeating the ethos of American self-sufficiency, and
the predictable failure and in fact harm to the private sector flowing from relentlessly growing government programs, regulations etc.
Reagan was warning about the rise of aggressive communism, among other ideological and strategic issues. He spoke of two refugees from Communist Cuba in America realizing that if America falls there is nowhere else to go. He reminded voters that the impending election was not merely one between two candidates. He warned us America could be taking the last step into a thousand years of darkness.
The agenda pushed by today’s Democrats/socialists has not changed in those 62 years.
The threat-level posed by Communists and their Islamic allies of today has skyrocketed in those 62 years. It is dire. Right here in America.
Today’s Democrat Party is filled with no-longer-in-the-closet Socialists/Communists who are winning primaries by defeating “moderate” Democrats (which may now be oxymoronic). The DSA is openly advocating for overthrowing the constitution, abolishing the Senate and the Supreme Court, abolishing ICE, defunding the police, pursuing wide open borders, letting illegal aliens vote, seizing of private businesses, and so much “crazy” that it is hard to believe anyone takes them seriously.
Thanks to @DataRepubican we now know the bigger plan, that this Democrat socialist electoral capturing/takedown of America is to be followed by a color-revolution style revolt in America replete with massive protests ultimately designed to bring down the American government.
the reality that these two forces, The Communists and The Islamists, both of which are anti-Western, anti-freedom, anti-American, anti-Christian, have locked arms militarily, financially and strategically, in an alliance labeled the RED/GREEN Axis. (Think NYC Mayor Mamdani, a socialist/communist who is a Shia Muslim adherent and who is transforming/destroying New York City.)
the actuality that in America both Communists (via the DSA) and Islamists (via CAIR) are running candidates, actively and openly pursuing the mission of finding and funding and agitating for and endorsing blatantly un-American and radical agendas, and that the overwhelming number of DSA and Islamic candidates run as Democrats. CAIR has endorsed DOZENS of Democrats.
I wrote this because we are in a battle for the heart of America. A monumental ideological yet existential battle. In the midst of this mostly non-violent yet raging war for our future, it is sometimes hard to see what is happening.
SO yes, the 2026 midterm election is our time for choosing, and the stakes are frankly much higher, and the potential consequences more imminent, than in 1964. Choosing a future of freedom and a constitutional republic ruled by law and blessed by the ordered liberty inspired by the Bible, or choosing to take that step over the cliff to a thousand years of darkness. Choosing to protect future Americans, so they don’t grow up under communism/socialism, and so they don’t grow up in an Islamic country. So our daughters don’t grow up under barbaric sharia that denies them their basic equal rights.
It is no secret that some Texas GOP voters (and maybe some in other states also) are skipping the midterms or skipping the vote on some races because of personal dislike or disapproval of certain candidates. The “I just can’t vote for X because I know he or she said this or did that” carries a certain personal satisfaction, even pride or sense of imposing justice. That is an understandable sentiment. But it is shortsighted in the extreme.
What we Americans are voting for in this 2026 midterm is the perpetuation of the American republic and constitutional governance and freedom. We are called at this time to reject the ideologies of communism/socialism/Islamism/globalism, and elect those who will call out those evils, and stand against them. As Reagan said, these races are not just about the two candidates (or two political parties). They are about the course of American history, and the future of freedom for mankind.
Vote for freedom. Vote Republican in the 2026 midterms. Vote as though America’s future is on the line. Because it is.

Extraordinarily serious times in America.
Compound today’s renewedly invigorated Communists-in-America agenda with:
