On Sunday, thousands gathered in Salem for the community’s biggest celebration of live, local music. The 11th annual Make Music Day in Salem took place on the summer solstice, with around 220 bands spread throughout dozens of venues in downtown, north, south, and West Salem.
This year’s event honored the late Mark Green, co-owner of RiverCity Rock Star Academy, who brought Make Music Day to the community over a decade ago.
