An Arkansas family has welcomed their third set of twin boys, calling it ‘a privilege’. The latest additions to the family were born six weeks ago, just in time for Father’s Day.
A Blessing and a Privilege
Parents Lindsey and Richard Skelton say this was definitely surprising to them, but it’s a blessing and privilege for the whole family. ‘We were just in disbelief and really grateful and honored. We were very surprised when we got our first set of twins after we experienced a previous loss,’ Lindsey said.
The six Skelton boys are all younger than 7 years old, which Lindsey and Richard say keeps their house busy, loud and full of life and love. ‘It’s really wild, I mean, all the time, you know,’ Richard said. ‘It’s such an honor and a privilege to be part of it. You know, there’s no greater calling in life than to be a mom or a dad.’
Lindsey’s extended family gathered at her parents’ house on Sunday afternoon for a special Father’s Day meal. The family says Sunday dinners are a weekly tradition that they hold dear, and a time to bring together all the grandkids and great-grandkids under one roof.
‘Just watching them learn, you know, they hang on to everything that you say and do,’ said Mark Hudgens, Lindsey’s father. ‘So yeah, that’s pretty special.’
Lindsey and Richard say that despite the never-ending laundry and never-ending dishes in their house, every day with their boys is a gift. ‘It’s the best thing ever, I wish I had 100 of them,’ Richard said. ‘We want to raise good humans who love God and are kind to people and honest.’
