Alabama won a recruiting battle over the weekend, adding its first defensive back commitment in the 2027 recruiting class with three-star cornerback Darrius White. White, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound cornerback from Creekside High School in Fairburn, Georgia, chose the Crimson Tide over Georgia, Cincinnati, and Florida State, among others.
Recruiting Class
White is ranked as the No. 451 overall recruit, the No. 44 cornerback, and the No. 49 player in the state of Georgia, according to 247 Sports’ composite rankings. He picked up an offer from the Crimson Tide on January 23, 2026, with the Tide’s offer causing a flurry of Power Four offers to roll in, with Auburn, Florida State, Tennessee, and Georgia offering him after Alabama did.
Alabama now has the No. 67 overall recruiting class, according to 247 Sports, with nine total commitments so far: 5-Star QB Elijah Haven, 4-Star QB Trent Seaborn, 3-Star RB Nigel Newkirk, 3-Star RB Tai Phillips, 3-Star CB Darrius White, 3-Star DL AVrian Pauley, 3-Star TE Michael Nnabuife, 3-Star TE Oakley Keegan, and Kicker Luke Cody.
