Silkberry, an independent Australian silk label, has unveiled its debut piece of apparel: a two-layer mulberry silk midi skirt. This marks the brand’s move from accessories into silkwear, with a limited first release in June 2026.

Silkberry is known for its square mulberry silk scarves and has built its name on a single category. The brand’s founder, Michelle, wanted to take Silkberry beyond accessories without losing what the brand has always been about: silk that can be worn every day, rather than saved for special occasions.
The midi skirt is made from two layers of 100% mulberry silk and is designed to be versatile and easy to style. It can be dressed down with a knit and flats or up with heels and one of the brand’s scarves.
Silkberry plans to keep building the apparel side of the label while holding to its small-batch, everyday-silk approach. The brand is exploring directions such as curated gift sets and further silk pieces.
