A shooting incident occurred at Santa Fe Place Mall on Saturday, resulting in one person being injured. The shooting took place just before 4 p.m. and is believed to have occurred inside the mall, but in an area that wasn’t close to the general shopping area.
The person wounded in the shooting was taken to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury to his left leg. The suspects were able to leave the mall before police arrived. One suspect was wearing a black T-shirt with a face imprint along with black shorts, while the second suspect was wearing a red hoodie.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call Santa Fe police at 505-428-3710. The mall has remained open within its normal operating hours.
