Carrollton’s own Deatrich Wise is making headlines for all the right reasons. The Hebron High School alumnus and NFL veteran recently hosted his inaugural charity golf event, bringing the community together for a day of fun and giving back.
Wise, who went on to play professional football after his time at Hebron, returned to his roots to lift spirits and support a cause close to his heart. The charity golf event marked the first of what could become an annual tradition for the hometown hero.
It’s always a special moment when a local athlete uses their platform to invest back into the community that helped shape them. Wise’s event is a reminder that Carrollton continues to produce not only talented athletes, but generous community leaders as well.
Also making waves locally, Hebron volleyball standout Taylor Johnson — named the 5-6A Most Valuable Player — has committed to play at SMU. The achievement highlights the continued excellence coming out of Hebron High School’s athletic programs and is a proud milestone for the Carrollton community.
