The Bullard Family Foundation hosted its second annual Celebration of Superstar Dads in Tampa, Florida, this weekend. The event, held at the MOSI in Tampa, aimed to recognize the impact dads and male mentors have on their families and communities.
A Space for Community and Connection
The free family event brought local families together to enjoy community resources available in their own backyard. Thaddeus Bullard, known as Titus O’Neil, former WWE Superstar and founder of the Bullard Family Foundation, emphasized the importance of male leadership and mentorship.
O’Neil shared his personal experience of growing up without a father in his home and how father figures, such as coaches and mentors, played a significant role in his life. He also highlighted the importance of presence in kids’ lives, stating that it is more valuable than material possessions.
The event honored three Superstar Fathers, including Shorne Callahan, a husband and father of two, who shared his experience of raising a child with Down syndrome. Callahan expressed his gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the importance of patience and living in the moment.
O’Neil’s own children also spoke about the impact he has had on their lives, describing him as a rock and a best friend. The event served as a reminder of the importance of presence and male mentorship in the lives of children and families.
