Taylor Montgomery, owner of Montgomery Sky Farm in Leicester, North Carolina, and former chef at the now-closed Urban Wren in downtown Greenville, has won the 2026 James Beard Award for best chef in the southeast region.
Joe Cash, chef and owner of downtown Greenville’s Scoundrel, was also a finalist for the award. The southeast region includes South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
